1. Required Skill/ability 1: Ability to process biospecimens including mouse tissues and samples, human blood, sputum, and lung tissue using standard methods for separation of cells and other components, and process for storage of RNA, protein, DNA, and live cells (cryopreservation).
Required Skill/ability 4: Proven ability to perform fluorescence microscopy on cultured airway epithelial cells and mouse tissues via Image Stream or similar technology.
Required Skill/ability 2: Demonstrated ability with laboratory repository of biospecimens and ability to handle inventory/shipping of biospecimens (human blood, sputum, lung tissue, live cells, mouse tissues and samples) to national repositories in accordance with local and federal guidelines.
Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
