The Program Assistant will work with the Program Director for Internships to provide critical internship program support and, to a lesser degree, will also work with the Program Director for Employer Engagement to help manage employer data and support student recruitment.
Primary Position Responsibility:
This role will provide internship program support in the area of program information and application management. The assistant will work closely with the Program Director for Internships to revise and update internship program websites and related materials. They will also assist with the internship application cycle, collaborating with the Program Director for Internships to revise content of the online application, evaluate applications, and notify students of application results.
In the area of employer engagement, the assistant will be tasked with the long-term project of managing employer information in the recently adopted Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. In addition to data entry, they may have the opportunity to create a user guide for office staff that outlines standards for use and best practices. The assistant may also be asked on occasion to support virtual events with employers.
Part-Time (Up to 17 hours/week). This is a temporary position that runs until December 2020, with the possibility of extension.
1-3 years relevant experience in education, program development, or program support; Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in administrative and program support or management
Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
Detail-oriented (to perform tasks of revising program materials and managing information)
Strong initiative and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and act with discretion
