University of the Sciences is seeking an Associate Director of Assessment to provide university-wide support in assessment, accreditation, and planning. This position will coordinate the University’s institutional assessment processes across both the curricular and co-curricular and provides support and professional development to faculty, staff, and administration in innovative assessment and evaluation practices. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, and with the support of the Director, will leverage student data and assessment systems to improve overall effectiveness and student outcomes.

Coordinate the University’s annual assessment planning and reporting processes, develop policies to guide operations, and promote continuous improvement within the context of the University’s strategic initiatives.
Provide expertise in assessment strategies, providing faculty, staff and administration support and training in areas of assessment.
Leverage institutional data to inform continuous improvement opportunities, making recommendations for interventions aimed at supporting strategic and departmental initiatives.
Support all accreditation reporting activities, for multiple accrediting bodies including (but not limited to) MSCHE, ACPE, ACOTE, CAPTE, ARC-PA, and ACBSP.
Provide departmental support in the development of meaningful learning outcomes, curricular mapping, and in the development of both direct and indirect measures of student learning.
Provide support for assessment design & administration by assisting faculty, staff, and administration with the creation of in-house instruments and the use of appropriate published instruments for measuring attitudes, skills, knowledge, abilities, or trends.
Produces and/or administers Noel-Levitz SSI, NSSE, Exiting Student Survey, and other surveys, as needed.
Coordinates course evaluations each term and coordinates the distribution of faculty and administrator reports.
Integrate and enhance the use of technology for assessment and improvement processes, including the expansion of our institutional assessment management platform.
Provide analysis based on management needs and departmental requests.
Performs related work as requested.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Statistics, or related discipline. Graduate degree preferred.
A minimum of five years' experience in higher education, preferred experience with institutional effectiveness, educational outcomes assessment, and assessment software.
Familiarity with and/or ability to rapidly learn AEFIS assessment management platform.
Communication skills to work with individuals across the spectrum of assessment and in various disciplines and departments.
Expertise with Qualtrics, or other survey platform.
Expertise with descriptive statistics, data analytics, and data visualizations.
Experience with predictive modeling.
Experience with design and implementation of an assessment system and/or institution-wide assessment collections.
The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
