The Director of Transfer Admissions, who reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, is tasked with designing a recruitment strategy for transfer students that is consistent with Manhattan College’s Mission Statement and overall enrollment objectives. The Director will manage the transfer application process, facilitate live and virtual transfer events both on and off campus, work with the Deans’ offices on campus to facilitate the use of the Transfer Equivalency System (TES), ensure an efficient application process, and maintain external relationships with community colleges to sustain existing, and investigate new opportunities for, articulation agreements.
Set realistic transfer goals, create an enrollment strategy, and recruit appropriately Plan and implement on-going communications with applicants, accepted transfer students, and influencers Review transfer applications to Manhattan College according to standards set by the Deans’ offices and the diversity standards set by the college Maintain external relationships with community college partners in order to effectively use articulation agreements to facilitate seamless pathways for transfer students Effectively use TES as part of the recruitment process. Monitor the speed and clarity in which credit evaluations are presented to the students Develop and execute a recruitment strategy for veteran and US military-affiliated student populations including the building of external relationships and partnerships with US military branches, the VA, and other affiliated veterans’ groups Act as the liaison between Enrollment Management and Student Life for the design and implementation of the orientation process for transfer students Collaborates with the Director of Financial Aid in planning and implementing financial aid packages for transfer students Supervises and trains the Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions to ensure proper representation of Manhattan College in the community and to work as part of a team to support the division and college goals and objectives
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., travel, set up and stand at college fairs may be required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in enrollment management field Understanding of computer applications such as Banner, Slate, and Microsoft Office is highly preferred. Master’s Degree preferred in higher education, business, leadership, related field Bilingual/Spanish a plus
