Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Faculty Onboarding Coordinator for University Human Resources (UHR). This position manages faculty job postings via Applicant Tracking System, including revision of job descriptions.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Serves as the liaison between management, faculty-staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures.
Performs duties as Background Investigation Coordinator under direct supervision, and is responsible for initiating and processing background investigations for faculty positions, and those required by the University's Protection of Minors Policy.
Reviews background check results and notifies requester in collaboration with Office of Labor Relations and Academic Labor Relations.
Serves as a point of contact for the Rutgers Online Recruitment System and provides customer service via phone and e-mail; also researches system questions/issues.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, and coordination.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience in a Human Resources function
Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and computer (Microsoft Suite) skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
