This Senior Nursing Director of Behavioral Health will be responsible for:
Overseeing all Behavioral Health services at Boston Children's Hospital which includes Inpatient Psychiatry, the Behavioral Response Team (BRT), Ambulatory Psychiatry and our Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) facility.
Collaborating with senior nursing leadership, patient care administrators and key physician leaders to define and implement shared goals and evaluate outcomes for Psychiatry and Behavioral Health programs and services.
Playing an integral role in developing and implementing strategies which create the cultural change necessary to fully realize our vision of participation in Behavioral Health and the continuum of care.
Ensuring continuous compliance with all regulatory bodies, including and not limited to The Joint Commission, CMS, Department of Public Health, Department of Early Education and Care and the Department of Mental Health. Developing and ensuring compliance with nursing policies and procedures, standards of patient care and nursing practice.
Creating an environment which fosters excellence, sensitivity and leadership.
Collaborating with ACNO (Associate Chief Nursing Officer) and other senior leaders to lead quality improvement programs to enhance nurse/patient care sensitive outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, quality and safety, and efficient patient flow and patient acuity/complexity.
To qualify, you must have:
10+ years of RN experience with at least 8 years of progressive management/leadership experience.
Behavioral Health experience required, pediatric experience preferred.
MSN required, Doctoral degree in nursing or a closely related field preferred.
Certification in Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing (RN-BC) and nursing leadership certification (NE-BC/NEA-BC) is strongly preferred.
