Under the supervision of the Director of Records and Advising, Correctional Education, the Assistant Director of Admissions Processing is responsible for all aspects of student records as they pertain to the admissions process for Correctional Education students.
Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a team of records clerks with a caseload of approximately 250 student files.
Oversees the inclusion of all appropriate state forms in admissions packets.
Processes all student admissions from CRM (SLATE) delivery to acceptance letter according to University policy.
Manages all returning student re-admittance according to University policy.
Creates all student permanent academic files, paper and/or digital (Soft Docs and Colleague).
Oversees the tracking and reporting of all incoming applications from point of entry to decision.
Communicates with site directors any/all missing admissions documents.
Responds to student inquiry, via site directors, regarding admission qualifications according to University policy
Manages the resolution of provisionally and conditionally admitted students at the completion of their first term.
Reports to site directors and advising team stop out students.
Works to ensure that state funded degree seeking and AJT students are appropriately enrolled.
Serves as the primary liaison between Financial Aid and Admissions regarding funding eligibility.
Manages all forms on the Blackboard team site.
Manages the organization of the team shared Google Drive.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
One year experience in a higher education admissions office required.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Experience in correctional education is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to interface with a Student Information System and Learning Management Systems.
Ability to work independently as well as excel on a team.
Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet presentation and database applications.
Ability to work collaboratively with an academic community.
