The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Ashland University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science position, beginning August 2021. The department offers majors in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Design and Development, Mathematics, and Actuarial Science.

The teaching load is twelve (12) credit hours per semester. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses including computer programming, the Linux operating system, data structures, web design/programming, computer architecture, computer algorithms, theory of computation and programming languages, mobile applications, software development, etc. Ability and willingness to teach courses in cyber security, software development or mathematics and to develop online computer science courses is desirable. The successful candidate is also expected to provide service to the institution and engage in scholarly activity.
A Ph.D. in Computer Science is required, along with three (3) months of teaching experience with demonstrated excellence.
