Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Edison Adult Outpatient Services department at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care
In collaboration with Program Manager, will function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Adult Outpatient Services program. Primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff and oversight of treatment services for adults in an outpatient setting. Will ensure compliance with all regulations.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction, group coverage, and clinical updates.
Provides staff with direction regarding consumer/patient intervention through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences.
Demonstrates knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health and rehabilitative services.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintain best practices.
Actively participates in scheduled staff training and supervisory meetings and delivers training to staff.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a related mental health discipline plus four (4) years of post-master's mental health experience.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Licensed in New Jersey to provide mental health services as an independent practitioner (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychology license).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Valid driver's license.
One (1) year supervisory experience.
