Performs application and web development for all programs and units in the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). Performs applications development including web programming and website maintenance for web-based databases and forms. Also responsible for needs assessments, analysis of system designs, information architecture, graphical user interface designs, usability testing, and evaluative controls of internal and external web applications. Works collaboratively with the school's IT and Marketing areas on projects pertaining to public-facing websites and web-based applications.
Develops, implements, and manages application development for O'Neill SPEA interactive web and intranet services. Provides reports and analysis for O'Neill SPEA web-based services and programs for O'Neill SPEA administration, faculty chairs, unit directors, faculty, and staff. Researches and stays abreast of the latest trends in utilizing web-based technology for the advancement of research and teaching.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a closely related Information Technology field and two years of experience programming and managing web systems and web-based databases and forms.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Experience with Indiana University's IUIE, DSS, and Oracle environment. Programming against and managing Microsoft's SharePoint Server (all versions). Integrating PHP/MySQL/Apache and .NET/C#/Microsoft SQL projects experience. Experience with Indiana University's WCMS/Cascade service. Experience with IU Salesforce and Marketing Cloud. For any other technical knowledge gaps, we are willing to train the right person for the job.
Working Conditions / Demands
Requires operating computers and other related technical equipment. Required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.
Since this position requires significant customer service, daily physical presence in the office is required.
$53,000 per year, non-negotiable.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
