Behavioral Health Therapist - Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry 15435
The West Virginia University Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry is seeking applications for part-time Behavioral Health Therapist. The position will be responsible for counseling and assisting employees with issues related to personal well being and job-related performance. Evaluates and recommends outside treatment and counseling.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Assess behavioral health urgency crisis
Provide brief intake assessment
Brief counseling or therapy
Referral and linking to community providers.
Complete and maintain records.
Master's degree in Social Work, counseling or related field, and at least a provisional license in WV.
One (1) year of experience in GAD, mental health, counseling, case management;
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent phone and communications skills
Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidential information
Basic computer skills
Complex problem solving may be required
Ability to carry out instructions in written, spoken or diagram form.
LGSW or provisional LPC considered
LICSW, LPC preferred
