This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Flexible work hours required, including a minimum of two evenings per week and two Saturdays per month.

This position is in the Department of Psychiatry. Interviews are conducted in research offices near Barnes-Jewish complex. The position will include work from home and work in the office at the medical center.
Position responsible for recruiting individuals for a multi-center study on the genetics of alcoholism, conducting comprehensive psychiatric interviews, performing EEG brain scans, administering neuropsychological tests, and scheduling blood draws.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruits and tracks study subjects, schedules appointments and maintains subject documentation.
Administers psychiatric diagnostic interviews and neuropsychological tests.
Schedules subject blood draws as needed and delivers samples to the Tissue Procurement Core.
Performs EEG brain scans on subjects enrolled in the study.
Completes and files all necessary paperwork, reviews interviews for accuracy and enters codes.
Computer data entry for questionnaires.
Meets with supervisor and other staff members as necessary to review progress.
Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or other related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact confidently and professionally with adults of all ages.
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions independently.
Able to work competently with PC based computer programs.
Human subjects research experience.
Ability to plan and organize independently in order to meet productivity goals.
Willingness to push to meet work related quota.
The hiring range for this position is $15.85 - $19.43 per hour.
