The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at Iowa State University is looking for an Instructional Technology Specialist to join their team.
Summary Responsible for developing and facilitating workshops and seminars on instructional technology and learning theory. Implements instructional technologies and provides faculty development and instructional design assistance.
Example of Duties â¢ Provides faculty development and instructional design assistance to enhance online, blended, hybrid, and web-enhanced teaching and learning through online and multimedia applications. â¢ Develops and creates training documents and best practices to support sound course design and development. â¢ Provides course design support to instructors via phone, email, ticket and face-to-face. â¢ May collaborate on university-wide user support for the learning management system.
Level Guidelines â¢ Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals â¢ Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues â¢ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems â¢ Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests â¢ May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff â¢ May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity â¢ Provides guidance to students
