Direct academic, administrative and business operations for the Tisch School of Arts (TSOA) Department of Game Design to ensure effective delivery of services and efficient office operations. Manage a variety of complex departmental academic processes. Manage departmental budget and preparation of financial reports. Supervise staff. Act as administrative liaison with other school and University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative matters.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: MFA/MA
Required Experience: 5 years' of increasingly responsible administrative experience (e.g., managing administrative services/processes, budgets, and staff) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in academic and/or performing arts environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, policy making and event planning skills. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving and negotiating skills. Proficiency and/or fluency with a wide range of current and historical game technology, platforms, and software including; Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, PC and Apple computers.
