The Office of Communications in the School of Business is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator for Graduate Programs (Publicity/Marketing Coordinator). The incumbent will report to the School of Business Associate Manager of Marketing and Communications and will coordinate, organize, and produce marketing and communications initiatives primarily for the School of Business Graduate Programs. The incumbent will support the School's advertising, websites, social media accounts, print media and other promotional channels. The position is based at the Storrs campus, but may also require periodic time spent in the Graduate Business Learning Center in Hartford. Occasional evening and weekend hours, as well as in-state and out-of-state travel, may be required in support of program events and activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to:
Supporting the planning, development, and implementation of marketing campaigns and projects for the School of Business MBA and specialty master's programs across multiple channels including, but not limited to, web, social media, and print.
Writing and editing content designed to promote and/or inform target audiences about the School's MBA and specialty Master's programs.
Assisting in the maintenance and update of the School's website content including new web page development, providing written content and coordinating with design/creative team on visual elements. Incumbent will be a key contributor in the 2020-21 comprehensive re-design of the School's website.
Providing project management for a variety of projects - web, print, and digital - including Basecamp project setup, scheduling, coordination with assigned team members, obtaining leadership approval, and production/trafficking of final deliverables.
Coordinating day-to-day deliverables and activities with external media agency and supporting Graduate Programs Marketing Specialist in the planning, development, execution, monitoring and reporting/analysis of our annual media plan and budget.
Gathering and regularly reviewing relevant data to guide project development, enhance effectiveness, strengthen messaging, and improve segmentation. Recommends and executes approved strategies to enhance SEO, clickthrough rates, pageviews, time on site, etc.
Setting up tracking analytics for marketing campaigns, maintains KPI reports and provides recommendations on enhancements for campaign effectiveness.
Maintaining awareness of School of Business programs and keeps up-to-date regarding marketing tools and trends.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Two to three years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing best practices and experience with marketing initiatives and communications.
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, advertising, and campaign implementation.
Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills. Proven experience managing assigned functions responsibly, efficiently, effectively, and independently.
Proven strong writing, communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms and web software such as WordPress.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as required; and travel with own transportation is required.
Experience in, or strong knowledge of, the fields of business and higher education.
Demonstrated data analysis skills and experience using data analysis to drive strategic decisions.
Demonstrated experience supporting a master's program.
