Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for multiple Proctor opportunities, which will be responsible for providing supervision for children to complete homework assignments and engage them in other independent activities. The proctor must also provide close supervision for each child or student to ensure proper COVID protocols are followed in the classroom.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Responsible for implementing assigned individual activities with children, including, but not limited to:
Greeting and dismissal of children
Responsible for signing children/students in and out of facility
Assists with snack/lunch routines, if provided
Facilitates activities, homework, or classroom assignments
Creates and maintains a clean and well-organized environment
Responsible for children's safety during daily routines
Other duties as assigned
* Responsible for ensuring COVID 19 protocols are followed:
Ensures necessary hand hygiene and disinfectant products are available to children
Clean areas, classroom items, desks, shared spaces throughout the day
Maintains a clean, orderly, safe, and healthy physical environment
Follow procedures for children who indicate symptoms of illness or show signs of illness.
Support physical distancing requirements between children
Continuously remind children to maintain 6 feet distance and wear facial coverings correctly
Encourages independent play and activities
Other duties as assigned
You must demonstrate:
Effective interpersonal skills necessary to work with young children, parents/guardians, other staff, and campus community
Follow the school and university policies and procedures carefully and with attention to timeliness
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
*Part-time opportunities may also be available
* Education/Training: High School or GED. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
* Experience: Preferred experience providing supervision to children and students.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods and sit on the floor
Must be able to provide supervisor and monitor safety through sight and sound
PA 153 Clearances - Preference will be given to candidates who have PA 153 Clearances.
