Join Harborview Medical Center's inpatient general surgery service as Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).
Under general administrative supervision of the Director for APPs, the APP provides clinical expertise to patients and their families, is a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and training programs. Work is performed in the inpatient units 7 days a week with decision-making responsibility under the guidance of the attending physicians and/or the Associate Medical Director. Independence in practice and decision-making will be granted depending on training and experience. Guidelines include general policy procedures and practice guidelines established by the service and Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and technical manuals.
Shift: Days. Holidays: Yes. Week-ends: Yes. Nights: Yes, only when cross-covering for the inpatient general surgery hospitalist service. Call: No.
