The Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Network (ORPRN) was established in 2002 at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. ORPRN is dedicated to improving the health of rural Oregonians through community engaged dialogue, coaching, education and research. ORPRN facilitates a broad variety of clinical health care research, quality improvement projects, and practice transformation efforts in settings serving rural and underserved populations in Oregon. The Research Assistant I will support a variety of ORPRN projects, including but not limited to: SMARTER CRC, CARAVAN, RAVE, and ANTECEDENT. SMARTER CRC is focused on colorectal cancer screening, CARAVAN explores rural Veteran access to and experience of primary care, RAVE explores ways to increase human papillomavirus vaccine rates in rural Oregon, and the goal of ANTECEDENT is to enhance alcohol screening, treatment and intervention. Responsibilities include:
Track and document project activities for team and funder reports
Organize team meetings
Support the development of presentations
Collect and enter project data into online databases
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and project recruitment
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or four years of relevant experience
High-level computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, with ability to create spreadsheets, data entry forms, queries and reports, and experience with PowerPoint presentations
1-3 years in research data collection, including handling confidential patient information and obtaining consent.
Experience with Asana, REDCap and/or other qualitative or quantitative research software
