The Department of Radiological Sciences at UC Irvine's School of Medicine is dedicated to conducting leading-edge research, providing the highest quality clinical education and delivering state-of-the-art care to our patients through the advanced diagnosis and treatment of disease through biomedical research.
Under the direction of the department Operations Manager, with input from the Vice Chair for Operations, Section Chiefs and CAO, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the implementation, generation, management, reporting and communication of schedules for radiology faculty, residents, and fellows for all clinical locations at the UCI Medical Center and School of Medicine. Incumbent implements scheduling methodologies, policies and procedures and applied to different groups and sub-groups within the Department using high-level analytical skills and creative problem solving to meet the unique demands of our clinical enterprise. Manages, monitors
and updates clinical workday accountability and assists in leveraging staffing model to maximize department revenue using sophisticated computer programs and advanced excel. Provides complex analysis, reporting and acts as a partner with the department Administrator. Designs, creates and maintains databases and other tools for a variety of complex and highly sensitive and confidential projects and assignments.
Minimum 2-3 years of relative experience. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Experience with campus systems such as Kuali Coeus and Kuali financial systems. Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service. Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management. High-level computer skills (MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with computerized databases including query languages, programmatic logic and data analysis. Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of Scheduling Software. Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Strong organizational and time management skills, customer-service skills and the ability to teach support staff effective scheduling strategies. Ability to use initiative, discretion and tact in working with Vice Chair of Operations, Section Chiefs and Medical Center/University personnel, faculty, residents, staff and senior management.
