Ohio University Eastern campus is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing/Skills Lab, non tenure-track 10-month position renewable annually starting November 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
The majority of this role is teaching and will be dedicated to laboratory duties that includes clinical teaching, lab and simulation instruction. This position Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing/Skills Lab works closely with other nursing faculty to plan, implement and evaluate student learning experiences in the respective labs. This faculty person is responsible for the remediation program. Additionally, responsibilities include development, implementation, and evaluation of simulated learning activities. The Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing/Skills Lab directly reports to the Associate Director or School Director of the relevant campus.
A nursing degree of MSN or higher is required to be completed prior to the start of the appointment. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States for a minimum of two (2) years is required. Minimum of two years (24 months full time equivalent) of clinical nursing experience in the United States is required. A current unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or the eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Ohio RN license is required.
A doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred. At least five (5) years experience in the nursing profession with at least two (2) years as a faculty member in an ADN or BSN program is preferred.
