Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Student Records Specialist in the Office of the Registrar. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: serve as the principal contact for incoming customers (students, faculty, staff, others); act as a liaison for students, faculty, and academic units regarding student records, registration, graduation and academic record maintenance; enter, update and verify computerized student records; produce and release transcripts; maintain files of supporting documents; distribute information regarding academic records to students, academic deans and chairs, faculty, student advisors and external agencies; collect all source documentation related to academic record changes.
High school diploma or GED and one year office and/or clerical experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Strong organizational skills, including ability to multitask, work efficiently, and prioritize. Problem solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive information and situations with tact and discretion.
