Applications areinvited for a postdoctoral fellow position in the laboratory of Dr. RajashekharGangaraju, PhD, in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University ofTennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
The highlymotivated postdoctoral fellow will be investigating the role of neurovascularunit of the retina in visual disorders. The work will include isolation andstudy of adipose stem cells, endothelial and neuronal cells and geneticmanipulation of such. Also, an array of neurodegeneration model organisms willbe analyzed by ex vivo and in vivo imaging of the neurovasculature.
The Department ofOphthalmology and extended research teams provide a highly dynamic andcollaborative environment fostering scientific breakthroughs. This position isfor a one-year appointment but has the potential to be renewed.
