Thoracic surgeons at Cedars-Sinai have been pioneers in developing minimally invasive surgery to treat lung cancer and emphysema. The Women's Guild Lung Institute offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for diseases of the lungs, esophagus, chest wall, airways and mediastinum.
As our next Physician Assistant, you will work in collaboration with the Supervising Physician to provide pre-op and post-op assessments of patients, consults and/or follow-up care in the clinic, and assist the physician in the Operating Room.
Surgical First Assist on all cases
Use a high degree of clinical competency with suture skills, equal to that of the surgeon
Demonstrate your advanced knowledge of anatomy
Maintain current knowledge of state-of-the-art surgical techniques
Contribute intelligent input into every surgical procedure
Write orders in Recovery Room, ICU and floor
Follow patients in the Medical Center and write daily progress notes
Maintain clear communication with the surgeons and any consultants regarding patient status both pre- and post-discharge
