Summary of Duties: Located in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, this Research Technologist position contributes to the fulfillment of the university's mission and vision by providing support to the Cheng laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This position conducts research on heart disease using biochemical, molecular and cellular biology techniques. The position designs and carries out experiments in cell culture and pre-clinical animal models under the direction of the principal investigator. This position also provides general support to ensure the laboratory operates safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Duties include maintaining laboratory equipment, ordering supplies, and managing animal colonies.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field of technology or science and two years experience as a Research Technologist, or equivalent; OR an advanced Degree in an appropriate scientific field; OR equivalent education/experience.
