The College of Health and Human Performance at East Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Director of Social Work. The School of Social Work is responsible for promoting quality instruction, mentoring and advocating for faculty and students within the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Serve as the School representative to the Dean and other Departments within the College, other units and departments within the University, and other agencies, organizations, and institutions. -Facilitating the development and attainment of school goals with a clear vision for the School's future. -Plan, administer, and manage the affairs and resources of the School in accordance with the policies and procedures determined by the University, College, and School. -Negotiating teaching assignments. -Work with the School on procedures with regards to grants, contracts, and other revenues generated by the School and its programs. -Effectively manage the field office in terms of resources and staffing, partner with agencies and other social work colleagues in the field; continue to position the School for accreditation by the CSWE. -Manage service loads for faculty. -Evaluating faculty and staff annually. -Managing budget and personnel files. -Excellent skills in managing people, fundraising, collaboration, and interpersonal communication.
