To provide appliance repair and installation of home and commercial appliances including dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges, vent-hoods, vacuum cleaners, and microwaves. Ability to connect water and gas lines, and how to test for leaks once the appliance are installed. Instruct customers how to use the appliance properly. Have knowledge on how to repair and replace defective components and be able to dismantle and reassemble appliances to make their diagnosis.
Performs maintenance repair work on appliances. Conducts inspections of common area appliances. Assists in the installation of appliances. Respond to storm and weather related needs for campus. At times will be asked to pick up trash and porter grounds, will be responsible to responds to storm and weather related needs for campus including, but not limited to (removal of snow, ice, trees, branches, etc.). Performs related duties as assigned.
High School diploma or three (3) years experience. Four (4) years of experience in a specific craft/trade.
Apprenticeship, vocational or technical training in appliance repair or electronics. Through knowledge of equipment used in all areas of appliance repair. Proficiency in all phases of work performed.
