As an integral part of the Endoscopy Services Team, the Endoscopy Technician II performs assistance duties during advanced endoscopic procedures (i.e. ERCP) under the supervision of the physician and the registered nurse; works collaboratively with the nursing staff, medical staff and all members of the health care team; demonstrates professionalism through communication, education and participation as a team member; and is responsible for the safe, quality care, and safety of patients who come under his/her care. Minimum Education:High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Completion of a G.I./Endoscopy program and an accredited Surgical Technician program is required.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:Two years previous GI Lab/Endoscopy experience required. One year of Advanced endoscopy ( i.e. ERCP) procedure experience preferred.Required License/Certification:Valid Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or Surgery-Certified Credential (TS-C) from CAAHEP or ABHES certification required.BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
