CUSTODIAN , Facilities-Custodial Services (2 openings, temporary, part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to clean all assigned areas, including classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, conference rooms, lounges, bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, entryways, elevators, private offices, auditoriums, gymnasiums, and secure areas such as entrance and office doors. Will empty trash and recycling receptacles located inside buildings and place in bins and dumpster; clean and disinfect restrooms, including the fixtures; restock paper products and soap and remove used products; clean and polish furniture; clean chalk boards, chalk trays, and erasers; clean event spaces before and after; dry mop, wet mop, and vacuum floors; dust and spot clean walls and doors in high and low areas; clean and disinfect drinking fountains; clean interior windows and interior/exterior doorway windows; clean mirrors and other glass surfaces; and clean up water and debris due to leaks and floods with wet pick-up vacuums.
REQUIRED : ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs., push and pull tilt trucks that hold up to 100 lbs., walk/stand for a majority of the shift, climb stairs, and perform custodial tasks. The schedule for the position is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
This is a six-month assignment which may be extended depending upon operational/business needs.
Any custodian assigned to the day shift or irregular shift, which includes weekends and holidays, must have a valid driver's license.
