Texas A&M University - Central Texas invites nominations and applications for two postdoctoral researchers in the area of Cybersecurity. We welcome applications from recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training.Â
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented with strong background and / or research interests in the following areas: Software security design, Internet of things (IoT) security & privacy, Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning or Machine Learning, Cryptography, Encryption and Forensic Analysis. Specific duties and responsibilities pertaining to research activities will be assigned by the Principal Investigator or the co-Principal Investigator, but normally include research activities of an independent nature in a technically/scientifically specific realm, or related duties as required. The researchers may supervise other research personnel. The nature of the duties is such that they require knowledge of an advanced type in a field of science or learning, are predominantly intellectual and varied in character, and require consistent exercise of discretion and judgment. An individual with this title will not be eligible to serve as a Principal Investigator.Â
Earned Ph.D., or equivalent, in Information Systems / Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a closely related area, or ABD with graduation date in hand.
Experience in Cybersecurity
Experience with various deep learning & machine learning frameworks.
Experience in writing proposals and research papers in peer-reviewed conferences/journals.
TERM: 2 years. Continued employment contingent upon the availability of funding.
Salary range: $45,000.00 to $51,000.00Â
