The Pharmaceutical, Administrative, and Social Sciences Division of the School of Pharmacy seeks to fill two full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Administration discipline.
Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas will be given priority:
Health Outcomes Research
Health Services Research
Pharmacy Management or Health Policy
Skills and/or experience in biostatistics and/or programming (SAS, STATA, R), large databases (claims, EMR or public), pharmacoeconomic modeling, semi-structured interviews/focus groups, psychometric validation or application of socio-behavioral theories within practice are desired.
School of Pharmacy:
Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy opened in 1925 with an enrollment of just 50 students in a few rooms of Canevin Hall. Today, the School of Pharmacy enrolls more than 1,000 students in its six-year Pharm.D. program, nearly 130 in its weekend program, 10 post-Pharm.D. fellows and residents, and 65 M.S. and Ph.D. students. Nearly 100 percent of Duquesne student pharmacists have gained immediate placement in employment and advanced studies for more than two decades and have been given preferred status by pharmacy employers. Ph.D. in social/behavioral research, health outcomes, health management/administrative sciences, public health, or economics.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy and M.S. programs, and to develop robust extramurally funded research programs.
A professional degree in pharmacy (or another health specialty) is desirable but not required.
