The incumbent serves as Lead Librarian for the Subject Instruction team, supporting the information literacy program and considers ways to optimize instructional services within the department through curriculum-based instruction, workshops, and more. As Lead Librarian, the incumbent supervises 3-5 other librarians and works closely with the Head of Collections and Research Services and three other Lead Librarians to coordinate activities of the Department of Research and Scholarship.
The incumbent also serves as a liaison for an assigned school or college, ensuring that Libraries¿ collections and services support the academic and research needs of students and faculty in that unit. The incumbent provides essential services, including research assistance, information literacy instruction, and collection development, and serves as the Libraries’ point of contact for the assigned areas.
