Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Under supervision of the Program Administrator, the Program Coordinator supervises all the day-to-day aspects of the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program, represents the program at events and acts as the liaison to funding agencies, State representatives, collaborating agencies, and referral sources,as needed and/or required by this position. Supervises the activities and staff of the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program. Ensures the quality of the telephone-based counseling and crisis interventions are provided. Ensures compliance with relevant funding agency and regulatory agency.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Participates as a member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing, managing and preparing documentation needed by the funding agencies to continue funding.
Assists the Program Administrator in the day-to-day operation of the Telephone Helplines.
Supervises staff as assigned by the Program Administrator.
In collaboration with the Program Administrator, develops and supports marketing of Telephone Helpline services.
Oversees, manages and prepares paperwork and documentation needed by UBHC and external funding agencies and the Federal Government.
Serves as liaison within the collaborating agencies, external funding sources, and other departments within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a mental health discipline plus four (4) years of experience in the behavioral health field.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Psychologist.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer and word processing skills.
Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills.
One (1) year of prior supervisory experience.
Experience in the area of law enforcement, emergency medical services or veterans' services.
Grant Funded for nine (9) months.
Must be available to occasionally work an off hour's shift which may include weekends, overnights or evenings.
Travel throughout the United States may be needed.
