The College of Human Sciences with Iowa State University is seeking applicants for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will direct and manage the day-to-day details of ensuring that project activities, accountability, and timelines are on track for a new National Institutes of Health award focusing on longitudinal data collection with middle-aged and older couples.
Overarching responsibilities include: 1) communicating with project Principal Investigators (PIs), students, staff, and external partners, 2) monitoring progress towards all objectives with special emphasis on recruitment and retention of study participants, 3) supporting the PIs in strategic planning, problem solving, and anticipating future issues, and 4) ensuring team accomplishment of activities and outcomes. Responsibilities of the position include: ensuring compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) and sponsor policies and procedures; coordinating participant recruitment and data collection; working with PIs and graduate and undergraduate students to coordinate data management; communicate with external partners; and communicating project goals, outputs, outcomes, and impacts through diverse modes.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, be detail-oriented, resourceful, and have the ability to manage multiple and competing demands. Good listening skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, technology skills in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and strong problem-solving skills are also required to be successful in this position.
