The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (www.cems.umn.edu) at the University of Minnesota seeks to fill one full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track), Associate Professor (tenured) or Professor (tenured) level. The position is conditional on availability of funds, and the precise start date could be negotiated.
Successful candidates will be expected to carry out vigorous programs of original research at a world-class level, advise graduate students, teach a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (CEMS), and participate in Departmental and University governance.
Outstanding candidates with a Ph.D. in any area related to chemical engineering and materials science will be considered. Of particular priority are the areas of biological engineering, catalysis and reaction engineering, and electrochemistry/electrochemical engineering. Candidates should have a distinguished academic and research record and a commitment to teaching in a highly interdisciplinary department and contributing to its diversity and excellence.
