The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Tandon Finance & Administration Office, reporting to the Associate Director of Budget & Finance. Position provides management and analytics on school wide expenses, collaborates with administrative and academic units to evaluate spend needs, research financial discrepancies, analyze and develop financial spreadsheets for departments, and conducts variance analysis on expense management and Accounts Payable activity for all Tandon departments. Position provides statistical data, investigates, and resolves Account spend inconsistencies. Manages financial records and files, and ensures consistent maintenance and accuracy of such reports.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Finance or related field
Preferred Education: Master's Degree, progress towards a Master’s degree or commensurate experience
Required Experience: 5+ years Finance or related field
Preferred Experience: 5+ years Higher education experience helpful; budget & finance planning and analysis
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Detail oriented , strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. The candidate should be fluent with financial concepts and tools (budgets, financial statements, data querying tools)
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Hyperion Planning, Tableau, Workday. Ability to present complex financial data clearly and concisely.
