The Family Caregiver Support Center/LACRC (FCSC/LACRC) provides direct services to family caregivers in Los Angeles County, research opportunities for USC faculty and students, and professional training opportunities for USC students interested in working with older adults and their family members. The FCSC/LACRC provides a full range of clinical services to family caregivers to older adults with multiple medical impairments or cognitive impairments including; case management, educational workshops, support groups, information & referral,Â and psycho-educational training. Our program is rapidly growing and we need superstars to join our current dynamic team.
We seek an Assistant Director to join our FCSC team! This is a full-time position that will require substantial commitment and flexibility. This is a critical role for the center that will require previous operational management and financial management experience. This position will be hands on when it comes to management of center and financial responsibilities to include generation of reports and financial processing. Working closely with the Business Office, the AD will ensure compliance and training of the members of the team.Â
Due to the current COVID-19 issue, this role will have a remote work location. Normally, this position works on campus and requires a valid state driverâs license and reliable transportation.
Under the direction of Donna Benton, the Center Director, the Assistant Director will be hands on and responsible for managing program operations and administrative functions to include budgets, policy implementation, personnel administration, marketing, and supervision of key management and clinical staff. Will contribute to the design of policies and strategic planning efforts. Responsible for the fiscal management of grants and contracts to accomplish measurable clinical and business process improvements and objectives.
The AD will oversee care and operational processes to optimize value (improve outcomes, patient satisfaction and reduce cost), contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and related system implementation, optimize integration efforts in pursuit of seamlessness for patients, providers, and staff. Will develop implementation roadmaps and facilitate action with concrete deliverables. Will lead in the identification and diagnostic of problems, manage data analytics, develops performance dashboards, and leads and manages structured improvement initiatives, from large scale transformational projects, to focused improvement events.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following education, previous experience and skills:
Masters degree in Gerontology. Health care administration or related field preferred
Experience working with government and foundational funding agencies
Experience with financial report writing, Â
Experience in managing the administrative aspects of a program
Experience supervising staff of all levels and abilities
Experience in clinical programs and systems implementation
Process improvement experience in clinical, operational, and financial performance
Proven ability to manage and analyze portfolio of complex projects/ programs to meet goals/ objectives while maintaining scope
Advanced skills with databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software programs. Knowledge of business (operational, clinical, and financial) statistics and data analyses techniques. Ability to manage and analyze data; strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient working with MS Office Suite (including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations, mitigating risks, and resolving items
Is highly organized and efficient with great time management skills
Ability to meet multiple deadlines with many stakeholders and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to facilitate the planning process by leading team meetings, managing on-going revisions, insuring priorities are met, resolving issues and working collaboratively to ensure consistency
Demonstrated ability to independently manages and completes multiple large projects simultaneously with minimal involvement from the Director
Demonstrated ability in responding to day-to-day crisis or unexpected situations in an effective manner.
Effective interpersonal communication skills supervise senior management to ensure that they have a clear understanding of their specific project goals and are accountable for achieving those goals.
Communicates effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of constituents to include: patient and family, staff, faculty, alumni, business, political and community leaders and the general public is essential.
This position is funded by several grants. Accordingly, this position is contingent upon receipt of the necessary funding from this or any subsequent grant to continue employment.Â â
