This position is for a leader to partner directly with the Director of the Stem Cell Biology program to oversee molecular and immunologic research being performed on samples from patients at Boston Children's Hospital and the DFCI. This position requires a high level of leadership capability, and outstanding communication skills, as well as scientific experience and skills to manage a dynamic research program.
To qualify, you must have a Master level degree, with at least 7 years original and relevant research of experience. A PhD preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have analytical development and demonstrated success in working on complex novel problems.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented culture focused on a sense of shared scientific inquiry, collaborative engagement, innovation, and the pursuit of scientific excellence.
Must be able to work independently on multiple concurrent projects and significantly contribute to process and material knowledge.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experience-based knowledge.
Systems immunology and/or computational biology skills strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to write detailed reports and proposals.
