The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
Supporting the care of patients with behavioral health needs in non-psychiatric areas including inpatient, outpatient, and the emergency department.
Deescalating acute behavioral health crisis.
Coordinating with patients and their families to develop effective care plans.
Education to staff on caring for patients with behavioral health needs.
Collaborating with colleagues on improvement initiatives.
36 hour/week position to provide consultation to staff in non-psychiatric settings regarding care of the patient with behavioral health needs.
Rotating evenings/nights and every third weekend
Flexibility with scheduling is preferred.
To qualify, you must have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in psychiatry required with at least 1 year working with children with behavioral health needs.
*New opportunity for an RN to join the Behavioral Response Team which supports the care of patients with behavioral health needs throughout all non-psychiatric areas of the hospital.*
