Advertised Job Summary:
Two positions available. The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the general operation and management of UofSC College of Pharmacy Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory, which serves as a clinical laboratory. This position reports to the Laboratory Supervisor of the Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory. The Laboratory Manager is responsible for implementation, training and management of the Clinical Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and for training and supervision of other clinical laboratory personnel. Performs complex lab testing procedures and directs the operation, maintenance and calibration of lab equipment. Maintains accreditation standards of all applicable agencies and ensures that all testing performed on-site is reliable, accurate and completed in a timely manner. Conducts quality improvement studies and research as appropriate.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field with current MLS (ASCP), MB (ASCP), MDxT (ABB), or MT (AAB) certification.
