The Coding Specialist verifies billing information marked on the provider’s encounter form to the billing information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), ensuring third party payer required diagnosis and modifier information is correct on the billing. The Coding Specialist posts information from the encounter form and follows proper procedures to ensure clean claim submissions. This position and process is key to the accurate billing and collection for the Family Medicine practice.
This position also provides coverage for roles across the department to fill in gaps of staffing shortages and other assignments to support operational goals.
Position is contingent upon sufficient funding.
