To assist the therapists, supervisor and director in all aspects of direct and in-direct delivery of care to our patients.Â
Under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation, Chief of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, performs tasks as delegated by the therapist, chief(s) or director.Â Major duties include: Assisting the therapist with scheduling of patients, updating potential referrals from surgery schedule, creating scheduling tags for new referrals, transcribing the schedule, distributing schedules to the nursing units, set-up, clean up and assisting with patient treatment, departmental and equipment cleaning and maintenance, stocking linen and supplies,Â clerical functions, effective communication/documentation, and activities as directed.Â Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist therapists in providing care appropriate to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Minimum Education:â¢High School Degree. â¢Bachelorâs degree in a related field preferred. Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢6 months or more volunteer or paid experience in a rehabilitation setting (hospital or private practice) preferred. Required License/Certification:â¢BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
