The Student Counseling Center at the University ofTennessee, Knoxville invites applications and nominations for anopen positionfor a Clinical Case Coordinator (Coordinator II). This is a 12 month,full-time, non-tenure track staff position.

The Division: The Division of Student Life iscomprised of over 400 staff persons who serve our students through 16departments and functions. Division Staff are actively engaged in the lives ofstudents, living and learning with them in our residence halls, student union,and other campus environments. TheDepartment: The Student Counseling Center is a full-servicecollegiate counseling center staffed by 11 licensed psychologists and 4Master's level therapists. The center also supports a robust APA accreditedtraining program training 5 full-time interns and 8-12 doctoral psychologytrainees. The Center shares a state of the art facility with the Student HealthCenter and the Center for Health Education and Wellness allowing for a widerange of collaboration in programming and student care.
ThePosition:Reportingto the Associate Director, the primary duty of the clinical case coordinator isto track and coordinate referrals to the counseling center from various campuspartners and to assist in connecting clients to appropriate resources. Theperson in this position will manage our community referral database(Miresource) and develop liaison relationships with community providers. Theperson is this position will also provide limited direct clinical services tostudents and occasional consultation to faculty and staff. The successfulcandidate will have solid experience with discharge planning, collaborationwith university and community agencies, and working with families and othersocial supports as appropriate. This person will be expected to have stronggeneral therapy skills including diagnosis, treatment planning, and riskassessment as well as the ability to provide effective treatment in a shortterm model (e.g., < 12 sessions). Therapy skills should include the abilityto work with a full range of clinical issues and complex diagnoses. Thisposition also includes various levels of engagement within the universitycommunity through community intervention, outreach, and development of liaisonrelationships with campus partners. *Trackingand coordination of referrals to the Counseling Center to ensure that studentsare connected to the appropriate resources for care.
*Trackingand coordination of referrals from the Center to campus or community resources.
*Consultationwith clinical staff regarding campus and community resources and in thedevelopment of appropriate treatment plans.
*Creatingand maintaining partnerships with campus and community resources who may assistclients in reaching optimal functioning.
*Developingand maintaining an accurate list of community providers and referralinformation; e.g., maintaining Miresource program or similar.
*Providingsome direct counseling services; especially same day brief screening interviews,and crisis intervention sessions.
*Providingsome didactic training and consultation with trainees.
*Participatingin community intervention efforts including suicide prevention training, stressmanagement workshops, postvention support, service on university committees, serviceas stand-by counselor for selected events, development of liaisonrelationships, and assisting with various university events.
*Otherduties as assigned consistent with the mission of the Student Counseling Center.
