The Safety IRB Analyst is primarily responsible for the management of a subset of applications submitted for Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) review.
The Safety IRB Analyst performs a detailed analysis of all applications submitted for Safety IRB review.
The Safety IRB Analyst reviews each submission, verifying that all requirements have been met. T
he Safety IRB Analyst attends the Radiation and Institutional Biosafety Safety Committee meetings to provide technical support and assist in capturing discussion and action items.
The Safety IRB Analyst documents committee determinations in the drafting of comprehensive meeting minutes and correspondence to investigators that effectively outline the concerns, rationale, and technical questions from the Radiation Safety and Institutional Biosafety Committees.
The Safety IRB Analyst is also responsible for conducting evaluations of investigator's response to identify potential issues for Safety reviewers and advise as to whether the requirements for Safety IRB approval have been met.
The Safety IRB Analyst is responsible for documenting the review process completely and timely in CS-IRB the Safety IRB online submission and protocol tracking system.
