Soka University (SUA) is seeking a full-time Project Manager - COVID 19 to lead our COVID-19 Response efforts. This is will be for a one year contract with the possibility of renewal. The Project Manager will lead the implementation of COVID-19 Response strategies under the direction of university leadership. This position will serve on the In-Person Education Committee, be responsible to stay abreast of current research on COVID-19, and keep track of local, state, and federal government regulations. The Project Manager will also introduce and reinforce COVID-19 prevention measures, track the virus on campus, implement necessary training and help Areas design Area-specific prevention strategies. This position will develop metrics to track the effectiveness of initiatives and activities. This position reports to the Vice President for Human Resources and Risk Management.
Serve as the primary point-of-contact for students, families, faculty, staff, and local community.
Help assess exposure risk and implement control measures
Strengthen emergency health preparedness and response, particularly in the implementation of strategies through the development of detailed programs and plans, and training of staff, faculty, and students for COVID-19
Advise university’s emergency response to address changes in prevalence of the virus on campus and organize and implement appropriate assessments and responses
Help Areas to develop and implement Area-specific COVID-19 prevention strategies
Coordinate Human Resources to ensure PPE stock is adequate and centralized to protect our community
Instruct on the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, face shields and face coverings for the activity being performed
Assist in contact tracing in conjunction with SUA Human Resources, and Orange County Public Health
Manage Covid-19 testing procedures and data collection. Act as a liaison between the county health department and SUA
Provide guidance to SUA Student Services, Residential Life, Public Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety in the event of positive COVID-19 test, diagnosis or presumptive diagnosis
Coordinate Quarantine and Isolation protocols with Student Services, Residential Life, and Environmental Health and Safety
Coordinates with contractors to implement and ensure all SUA COVID-19 safety protocols and prevention strategies are followed
