The Department of Engineering Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Lecturer with expertise in engineering graphics (CAD) and advanced manufacturing processes. Advancement through promotion to Senior Lecturer and then Teaching Professor is available for this position. Duties include teaching courses in applied engineering including manufacturing processes, CAD, mechanics, materials testing, and dynamics, as well as collaboration with faculty and staff for program improvement. Continued development and supervision of the department's machine tool lab is also a requirement for this position. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2021.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience and hold at a minimum an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology with an emphasis in mechanical engineering. The ability to create AutoCAD 3D geometry and associated 2D, standards-based engineering drawings is required, with knowledge of SolidWorks a plus. Additionally, hands-on experience in a machine tool lab is required. Knowledge and operation of both traditional machines (lathes, milling machines, etc.) and CNC machines are an integral part of this position.
