The Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee invites applications for a full-time Post-Doctoral research position. The successful candidate will conduct mixed-methods research on interactive systems, techniques, and algorithms for mobilizing information work. This work will include designing novel interactive systems, implementing new interaction techniques, employing quantitative and qualitative research methods in formative research, conducting remote user studies, and disseminating their research through publications and other forms of outreach. The successful candidate will work in a team of researchers focused on various aspects of human-computer interaction, applied machine learning, and the future of digital work.
The position will last approximately one year with the possibility of an extension of one year. The position is available starting September 1, 2020 (or until the position is filled). The post-doctoral researcher will report to Dr. Alex C. Williams. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, health benefits, career mentoring, and conference travel support.
