The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), at the University of Minnesota is seeking multiple full-time, board-certified/board-eligible physiatrists to expand and grow our current practice and academic division.
About the Position: -The Division of PM&R is looking to expand and grow our practice with an opportunity for candidates to build their own practice. Areas of focus include, but not limited to: General PM&R, Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation, Botulinum Neurotoxin Injections (including migraines, sialorrhea, spasticity, etc.), Cancer Rehabilitation, Wound Care, Traumatic Brain Injury. -The Division of PM&R is a practice that includes an inpatient rehabilitation unit, inpatient consult service, and an outpatient clinical practice.
The award winning PM&R Outpatient Clinic is in a new state-of-the art facility that recently opened in February 2016, M Health Clinics and Surgery Center. The new facility offers both free-standing and hospital-based practices, and includes integrated specialties, collaboration zones, state-of-the-art equipment and research, and expanded hours to better care for our patients.
The Fairview Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Center is a 30-bed CARF-accredited rehabilitation unit with approximately 600 patients admitted each year and an average daily census of 20.
-As University of Minnesota Medical School faculty members, candidates participate in PM&R clinical research as well as education. Faculty members mentor residents, fellows, and medical students; including teaching, training, and general supervision. Opportunities exist to further focus on education, if desired.
