Major Duties: - Teach the following courses Fall and Spring semesters:FCS 2250: Computer Applications (3 cr)FCS 6220: Practicum (variable cr)WFED 3480: Student Assessment and Management (3 cr) WFED 4100: Seminar in Education (2 cr)WFED 4750: Intern Teaching in WFED (3 cr)WFED 5130: Teaching Methods in Career & Tech Ed (3 cr)WFED 5420: Curriculum Development in WFED (3 cr) WFED 6170: Seminar (2 cr)- Coordinate the placement of WFED intern teachers in appropriate sites and maintain effective relationships with sites.- Supervise student (pre)interns in the undergraduate, graduate and post-baccalaureate programs.- Coordinate activities with the college's field placement, advising and teacher certification offices.- Participate as appropriate on department, college, and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in a WFED/CTE/vocational area from an accredited institution.- Vocational endorsement in one of the areas associated with WMU's CTE programs: Business, FCS, Technology Education.- 2 years' experience teaching CTE.- Experience with courses noted above.- Knowledgeable about local and state CTE systems.- Committed to furthering the discipline of CTE.
