JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of a Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Coordinator II coordinates studies involving kidney podocyte biology in health and disease.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies animal and bio-safety protocols.
Conducts literature research and reviews.
Prepares cell cultures and whole animal experiments.
Uses electron and optical microscopy to examine glomeular histopathology.
Documents, analyzes, and interprets study results.
Formulates data and reports for presentations, publications, and grant applications.
Educates graduate research students and other lab personnel on experimental techniques, including molecular and cell biology and microscopy
Performs other related duties as assigned.
