The College of Nursing and Health Innovation (CONHI) at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), seeks applicants for tenure-track positions to teach and to conduct research in nursing and healthcare. The College of Nursing and Health Innovation is particularly interested in recruiting innovative scientists who can make a significant contribution to the college's overarching theme of programming and research in health and disease across the lifespan, with a focus on advancing health and the human condition. Ideal candidates will have a broad understanding and interest in interdisciplinary studies. Research on how social determinants of health affect the health of populations is valued. Relevant research backgrounds may include evaluation, health disparities, social determinants of health, and social and economic development among others. Expertise in the care of individuals with clinical and chronic conditions is valued. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their teaching, research and service. In addition, candidates in their early career must demonstrate strong potential to develop a research program supported by external funding, while more established candidates must demonstrate active, externally funded research agendas.
The position is tenure-track and will be in the Undergraduate Nursing Department at the Assistant Professor rank.
The College of Nursing and Health Innovation at the University of Texas at Arlington is seeking applications from outstanding individuals to fill this tenure-track faculty position in the area of nursing leadership, advanced practice nursing and/or patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing faculty and to build our academic and research programs in the college and university.
The individual will have an independent program of research and will collaborate with colleagues in Nursing, Kinesiology and Public Health within the college. Opportunities for collaboration in conducting research include patient safety, aging, early interventions for children, community-based interventions for vulnerable populations, cardiovascular health, muscle and bone health disease, and health disparities, among other areas. Collaboration with colleagues in other colleges and departments are common. We foster and support interdisciplinary research and education.
1. PhD in Nursing or related field from research intensive program 2. Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas 3. A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical, health system or leadership or policy area, preferred 4. Demonstrated commitment to nursing research, education and service.
A history of research publications, research funding and postdoctoral fellowship training.
